Beat butter and sugar together; add coffee/almond mixture. Add eggs one at a time; beat for 2 minutes on high. While that is beating: in a small bowl whisk together flour, baking soda and salt. Combine 1/2 cup brewed coffee with milk. On low speed, add flour in 3 additions alternately with coffee-milk mixture to butter mixture, just until blended, scraping sides of bowl as needed.
